KOKRAJHAR: The second session of the Bodo Civil Society (BCS) on reviewing the BTR accord will be held on October 15 at Nirbhana Bhavan, Kokrajhar although the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) and All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) are sticking to implementing all clauses of the accord in letter and spirit.

In a statement to media, former Lok Sabha MP SK Bwiswmuthiary said that the Bodo Civil Society would discuss thoroughly the clauses of the BTR accord during its second session to be held on October 15 in Kokrajhar. He said there were serious lapses in the BTR accord. He also said that the BTR accord included the clause of exclusion of villages that could hamper the well-defined geographical boundary. He further said that time had come to take a re-look of the accord.

Bwiswmuthiary said the former leaders and workers of ABSU, including intellectuals, would take part in the meeting. He also warned that the Bodo Civil Society might be compelled to raise separate statehood demand and launch democratic movement if BTR accord was not reviewed.
