KOKRAJHAR: The Bodoland Janajati Suraksha Mancha (BJSM) on Monday demanded rescheduling of the 4th BTC election in the wake of the outbreak of coronavirus. The working president of the BJSM, DD Narzary in a statement said the virus had also reached India. He said that many State governments had declared temporary closure of institutions like schools, colleges and universities and public gatherings had been prohibited. “Despite knowing about the contagious virus, the Election Commission has announced holding of election in BTC to be held on April 4,” he said, adding that they had questioned whether the SEC was concerned about the wellness of the people of BTC. He demanded the State Election Commission to reschedule the election in BTC.
