BAKSA: With just a few days to go before the assembly elections, electioneering has gained momentum in No. 58 Tamulpur assembly constituency. Bodoland People's Party (BPF) leaders and supporters are confident that party candidate Rangja Khuntur Basumtary will win by a huge margin.

The party opened the election campaign office of Baraigaon Primary Committee at Ghograchowk of Tamulpur under Baraigaon VCDC on Friday. The election campaign office was inaugurated by Jogen Basumtary, working president of the election governing body of Tamulpur constituency of BPF.

Jogen Basumtary said, "The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Pramod Boro did not let the BPF form the government despite the BPF winning 17 seats in the last BTC election. The government they have formed undemocratically is illegal and the people have not been able to trust that government. This time the people will reject the BJP and the Congress-led Grand Alliance will form the government in the State this time."

Tamulpur district BPF general secretary Upen Basumtary, BPF leader Balen Boro and other leaders and supporters were present in the programme.
