KOKRAJHAR: To provide support to the aspirants of civil services, the Bodoland University (BU) opened a free coaching camp at Bodoland University recently.
Sources said that the inaugural function was held in the Department of Economics, Bodoland University, Kokrajhar, for the free APSC/UPSC coaching that will be provided by the Bodoland University in collaboration with Takshashila School of Civil Service, Guwahati. The inaugural meeting was graced by the Rector of BU, V-C (I/C) Prof Jatin Sarmah, Registrar of BU Dr Subung Basumatary, Academic Registrar of BU Dr Manjil Basumatary, and the CEO of Takshashila School of Civil Services, Tulsi Priya Bordoloi, along with her staff. Professors and the guests were informative and highly encouraging for the selected students.
Prof Sarmah said, “Civil services are not just a job but an opportunity to serve the society, state or a nation as a whole. It is one of the most adorable, adventurous and prestigious jobs in the country.” The CEO of Takshashila also advised the students to be ‘dedicated, sincere and punctual with the preparations as well as to be highly consistent above all.’ The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Sijousa Basumatary, a faculty of Bodoland University from the Economics department.
