Body of drowned girl recovered in Jagun Budidehing River

JAGUN: A body was recovered in Jagun Budidehing River under Jagun police station in Tinsukia district on Thursday.

According to sources, two young girls, namely Jarina Moyong (6), daughter of Kutilal Moyong, and Rani Patir (8), daughter of Sanjeev Patir of Karpumpuli village in Jagun, had reportedly drowned in Dehing River of Arunachal Ghat on Tuesday morning. A team of local police and SDRF rushed to the incident area on the same day and tried to recover the bodies but failed. On Thursday, the body of Jarina Mayong was recovered from Sarvodaya Ghat by the personnel while the other child is yet to be located.
