Body recovered near Bijni Railway Station of Chirang

BONGAIGAON: Panic prevailed in Chirang after recovery of a body near Bijni Railway Station of Chirang on Saturday. The body was recovered from under the Railway culvert no. 451/A near Bijni Railway Station. As per police sources, the deceased was identified as Pankaj Das, originally from Pathsala area of Barpeta district, and residing at Bijni in a rented house. As per sources, Pankaj was a videographer by profession. "He was missing since August 19. His mother, who lives with him, lodged an FIR in Bijni PS the next day," police said.
