Bol Bom Pilgrims Coming to Visit the Historic Shiva Dol of Sivasagar Met with An Accident

JOYSAGAR: Separate mishaps have dampened the spirit of the Bol Bom pilgrims who came from different parts of the State to visit the historic Shiva Dol of Sivasagar and to offer prayers here. One pilgrim from Jorabat was electrocuted in the premises of the Shiva Dol. He was admitted in Joysagar Civil Hospital on Monday but he died. The person was identified as one Jogesh Kumar (41). In another incident, one pick-up truck met with a road accident near Mathurapur of Sivasagar district. This pick-up truck was carrying about 25 pilgrims from Sonari and Charaideo Tea Estate and the pilgrims were coming to visit the Shiva Dol of Sivasagar. In this road accident, about six pilgrims, including two women, received major injuries. All the injured persons were admitted in Nazira civil hospital, sources informed.
