BONGAIGAON: Many people may not be familiar with Doodle Art but nowadays a student from Bongaigaon district is shining in this art. Dhritismita Chakraborty, a resident of North Salmara in Bongaigaon district and a student of Abhayapuri College, created Doodle Art during this lockdown period. Dhritismita said that she started to Doodle Art a one year ago. "I started practising since a year and I got the opportunity to explore this art during the lockdown. During the lockdown I used to spend the entire day practising Doodle Art," she said.

Talking about the history of Doodle Art, Dhritismita said, "It started 40,000 years ago when the cavemen drew Doodle Art with stones or pieces of flesh. The earliest of these drawings were found in Franch and Spain of around 3,200 BC. A new dimension to Doodle Art was given by mathematician Stains Lo William later," she said. Dhritismita, daughter of Hiten Chakraborty, not only practices Doodle Art but also paper craft.
