BONGAIGAON: Following information, Government Railway Police of Bongaigaon rescued a kidnapped girl and nabbed the kidnapper.

Gulafsha Shaikh (16), a resident of Juhu Gully of Maharashtra had been kidnapped by Aahad Laskar (24), resident of Mumbai. Pulakesh Rabha, OC, GRP, Bongaigaon, said that they received a message from Mumbai police regarding the kidnapping. "As per message, the parents of the girl had lodged an FIR in Juhu Police Station of Maharashtra on June 15. They had sent us message that both accused and kidnapped are moving to Assam by the 02255 Karmbhumi Mumbai to Kamakhya Express in AC class reservation. Our team launched a search operation in the train today at 12 noon when it arrived at New Bongaigaon, and nabbed the kidnapper along with the kidnapped girl. Both were sent for medical tests. Mumbai police have been informed about the rescue of the girl and nabbing of the kidnapper," he said.
