Bongaigaon Refinery distributes face masks to needy persons across Assam

DHUBRI: Under the Indian Oil’s core value CARE and in synchronization with the motto “IndiaFightsCorona” through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Bongaigaon Refinery (BGR) brought relief to many stakeholders of Chirang , Bongaigaon and even Kokrajhar by distributing face masks recently.
BGR has given a local NGO the task of hand stitching reusable cloth face masks and on April 16, these masks were handed over by DGM (CC&CSR), Sita Baruah to Manager (Retail Sales) Indian Oil AOD State Office, Bongaigaon, Shailendra Kumar for distribution to the needy from IOC retail outlets.
A total of 890 masks were handed over on Saturday and BGR is planning to further augment this number, a BGR official source informed.
“Like practicing social distancing and staying safe at home, wearing masks while going outside the house to get essential commodities has been made mandatory and violation will attract penalty,” said DGM (CC&CSR), Sita Baruah.
