Bongaigaon Refinery inks MoU With Bongaigaon District Administration

Bongaigaon: Under its CSR endeavour, Bongaigaon Refinery has been undertaking various projects in the thrust areas of education, health care, sanitation and drinking water facilities in the vicinity of its unit.

Taking a step forward for girls’ education, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bongaigaon district administration and Indian Oil, Bongaigaon Refinery was signed on January 14 in the chamber of the Deputy Commissioner of Bongaigaon for construction of library building in Birjhora Kanya Mahavidyala, Bongaigaon at a cost of Rs. 25 lakh. This project is intended towards promotion of education among girl students and empowerment of women in the long run. The project is expected to be completed within three months.

On this occasion, several noted persons like Dr Sadnek Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Bongaigaon and Amarendra Kalita, Executive Director of Bongaigaon Refinery, were present.
