Book fair adds to excitement of festive season

SARUPATHAR: The fourth edition of the Grantha Mela and Adda of Sarupathar at Dhansiri subdivision has been garnering a large crowd of avid readers from across the subdivision. The book fair was inaugurated by Partha Pratim Das, the founder and secretary of Prantosh Das Foundation, on Tuesday.

The Prantosh Das Foundation of Sarupathar has organized the Grantha Mela and the Annyapath Gusti has organized the Adda programme. The book fair will conclude on October 18. It has doubled the excitement of people in this festive season. The Adda programme will include poetry competition between school students and the Dhansiri subdivision poets’ association. The Elora Vigyan Mancha of Dhansiri subdivision will conduct a discussion to create awareness against superstition.
