Book titled Ismat Chughtai Nirbachita Galpa released in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: A book titled Ismat Chughtai Nirbachita Galpa was unveiled at a function held at Readers' Hive in Golaghat recently.

This book is a collection of short stories by Ismat Chughtai, one of the popular writers of Urdu literature of the 20th century, and translated into Assamese by Dr Rousonara Begum, Assistant Professor of English at Furkating College, Golaghat. The book has been published by Oikantik, Golaghat and marketed by Readers' Hive.

It was released by renowned writer and intellectual Dr Hiren Gogoi, writer and senior medical practitioner Dr Kumud Kumar Dutta, senior journalist Dwipen Dutta and retired professor Hem Phukan.
