Book titled Language-Literature Review released in Sivasagar district

SIVASAGAR: A research book titled Language-Literature Review, published by the Assamese Department of Gargaon College, a premier institution of higher education in Sivasagar district, was unveiled recently.

The editors of the book, Nilakshi Chetia, Head of the Assamese Department of the college, and Debajani Bakolial, Assistant Professor of the Assamese department of the college, said that some of the most important topics related to language and literature among the subjects to be studied by the students of first semester to sixth semester were included in the book.

Dr Sabyasachi Mahanta, Principal of Gargaon College, who unveiled the book, commended the steps taken by the Assamese department on the special day of Saraswati Puja. Dr Mahanta conveyed his gratitude to each and every professor of the Assamese Department for the continuity of the intellectual practice in the college. Dr Rina Handique, Vice Principal of the college, Dr Pobon Gogoi, president, Gargaon College Teachers' Unit, and the students, teachers and staff of the college were present on the occasion.
