SIVASAGAR: In a boost to the Aam Aadmi Party's plan to strengthen its base in Assam, more than a hundred new members joined the party in Sivasagar on Tuesday. A number of student leaders, businessmen, etc. from the district joined the party in the joining ceremony on Tuesday.
They were officially inducted into the AAP at a function organized by Sivasagar District Committee of the party at Baruwari Cultural Centre near AT Road, Sivasagar, in presence of the party's state joint co-ordinator Laxmikant Dubey. All the new members were felicitated with the party cap and memento.
Laxmikant Dubey expressed that the people's confidence in the party is gradually increasing. Dubey said that by winning the hearts of the people, the party has secured an overwhelming victory in the polls and formed government in Delhi and Punjab. Now the party is all set to be recognized as an alternate political power in Assam.
