Border Security Force apprehended cattle smuggler along with four cattle heads near South Salmara Border

Guwahati: Troops of Border Security Force of Guwahati Frontier apprehended one Indian cattle smuggler along with four cattle heads on April 30, 2019 from bordering areas of Ashmeralga, District South Salamara (Assam).

Based on a tip-off, on 30 April 2019 at about 10.50 pm, a special ambush of BSF troops apprehended one Indian cattle smuggler along with 04 cattle heads from area of responsibility of Border Out Post (BOP) Ashmeralga, while he was trying to smuggle the cattle from India to Bangladesh. Apprehended cattle smuggler has been identified as Gulbahar Seikh (19) son of Kachcha Seikh, R/o Kanaimara Part-I, PS Kharwabandha, Dist-South Salamara, Mankachar (Assam). He has been handed over to PS Kharwabandha for further legal action.

BSF troops apprehended the miscreants due to their alertness towards the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all endeavours to contain such trans-border crimes from the border.
