Border Security Force (BSF) seizes 302 Phensedyl bottles in West Bengal

GUWAHATI: In three separate operations, troops of Border Security Force under Guwahati Frontier seized 302 bottles of Phensedyl in the bordering areas of Sitai, Kaimari and Begunihaat villages of Coohbehar district in West Bengal. Acting on a tip-off, troops of Sitai border outpost of 100 Bn BSF, under Guwahati Frontier, carried out a special operation in general areas of Sitai village under Sitai Police Station of Coohbehar district in West Bengal and seized 1 packet of Phensedyl (total 99 btls) wrapped with plastic on the intervening night of Monday.

In the second operation, acting on tip-off, troops of Kaimari Border outpost, of 100 Bn BSF, under Guwahati Frontier, carried out a special operation in general area of Kaimari village of Coohbehar district and seized 1 packet of Phensedyl (total 48 btls) on Monday night.

In the third operation, acting on tip-off, troops of Border Out Post Ataldanga, 192 Bn BSF, under Guwahati Frontier, carried out a special operation in Begunihaat village of Coohbehar district and seized 2 packets of Phensedyl (total -155 btls) on Monday. Seized Phensedyl has been handed over to Sitai Police Station for further legal action, stated a press release.
