Boxer Lovlina receives Pulveriser green house from Golaghat administration

GOLAGHAT: "I am grateful to the Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat and District Agriculture Officer. It was so generously diligent of them to take out time from their sharp itineraries to travel all the way to shower me love and blessings during this hour of crisis. It means a lot," said international boxer Lovlina Borgohain.

Lovlina's interest in the agricultural field made State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora very happy. A couple of days ago, the minister directed officials concerned to provide Lovlina a Pulveriser, a green house and a nursery to aid her farming efforts, stated a press release.

On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat, Bibhash Chandra Modi, District Agriculture Officer of Golaghat, Nabin Chandra Bora, and Circle Officer of Sarupathar Revenue Circle, Satish Prasad visited Lovlina's home. The officials felicitated Lovlina and urged her to create a pool of successful sportspersons from Golaghat and Assam as a whole and to carry out goodwill activities for the betterment of the society and to inspire the young generation.

The Deputy Commissioner presented Lovlina a cheque on behalf of the district administration. The Deputy Commissioner and District Agriculture Officer handed over the Pulveriser to Lovlina. The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the condition of some rural roads of Sarupathar constituency. He instructed the officials concerned to do the needful soon.
