KOKRAJHAR: On the occasion of Viswakarma Puja, the president of Bodoland People's Front (BPF) and former chief of BTC, Hagrama Mohilary on Thursday inaugurated the newly-built auditorium hall in the BPF office in Kokrajhar. The new auditorium hall has been dedicated in his name and is called the Hagrama Auditorium hall.

A public meeting was also held under his presidentship in the new auditorium hall where former BTC EMs-Doneswar Goyary and Derhasat Basumatary, president of Ex-BLT Welfare Society, Jana Mohan Mashahary and other party leaders were also present.

Talking to mediapersons, Mohilary said there was no doubt that the BPF would form the next council government with absolute majority. He said UPPL president Promod Boro was cheating people with false promises. He also said that Boro had been against the interest of non-Boro people but was showing sympathy towards their cause just for political benefits.

Mohilary said that Governor's Rule in BTC would come to an end on October 27 and therefore, the State Election Commission (SEC) should hold the council election before that. He, however, said that holding of election would depend on the BJP-led government.

During the inauguration function, over 150 people from different political parties joined the BPF. These included Sapna Daimari, vice-president of Udalguri, Md. Faizul Hoque; CWC member of UPPL and in-charge of 37 No Dhansri constituency, Mondeep Narzary; secretary of Udalguri district committee, and Md. Sharafat Ali, secretary of Udalguri district committee of UPPL. Soon after joining the BPF, Sapna Daimari said that BPF would win 30-32 seats in the upcoming BTC polls and form government with absolute majority for the fourth consecutive time.
