Brahman Samaj meet held at Doomdooma Asomiya Puja Aru Natya Mandir

DOOMDOOMA: A general meeting of Doomdooma Regional Committee of 'Asom Brahman Samaj'(ABS) was held at Doomdooma Asomiya Puja Aru Natya Mandir premises recently. The programme was inaugurated by the ABS Doomdooma Regional Committee president Ananta Sharma by hoisting the flag. The general meeting held thereafter was chaired by Ananta Sharma while the secretary of ABS Doomdooma Regional Committee Arun Baruah explained the objectives of the meeting.

The meeting was addressed by the president of ABS, Tinsukia District Committee Pradip Baruah, secretary Prasanna Pathak, former president Durga Dutta Sharma, former president of Tinsukia Regional Committee Bhargav Pujari, former secretary of Doomdooma Regional Committee Ananta Khataniar and others.

The speakers lamented that Brahmins are gradually losing their Brahmin qualities due to modernity. They said that all religious activities of Brahmins including their daily rituals have scientific logic and urged the Brahmin people to perform these rituals sincerely and correctly and also urged the Brahmin people to remain united. The meeting was also addressed by members of the Doomdooma Regional Committee of ABS Sanjay Thakur, Parameswar Shastri, Badrinath Dubey and Bikash Mishra. A good number of Brahmin people from the greater Doomdooma region participated in the meeting.
