Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited organizes industrial meet on environment management

DIBRUGARH: Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) organized the first industrial meet on Environment Management System in association with Pollution Control Board (PCB), Assam at the BCPL campus on Tuesday.

On the occasion of Van Mahotsav 2022, chairman of PCB Assam, Dr Arup Kumar Misra graced the occasion as chief guest along with member secretary Dr Shantanu Dutta. The delegates from 25 leading PSUs and private sector industries participated in the meeting to discuss different environmental concerns and the way forward. Dignitaries from different leading industries like Bibhu Bhuyan, Managing Director, APGCL, Prasanta Borkakoty, RCE of Oil India Limited, Duliajan, Rajnesh Gogoi, Managing Director of Assam Petrochemicals Limited, Gautam Das, CGM of ONGC Assam Asset, Bhupendra Goswami, CGM of NEEPCO, took part in the session.

The session was also graced by Reep Hazarika, Managing Director of BCPL, Prithiviraj Dash, Director Finance of BCPL, besides senior officials of BCPL and other delegates. The main objective of the meet was to adopt the best industrial practices towards environmental management and overcoming different challenges in the present circumstances. Further, on the occasion, the fourth edition of the souvenir Envicare & quot; was formally released by the chief guest along with Managing Director, BCPL. The souvenir is published by BCPL's environment department which focuses on awareness towards environment protection and its conservation among the stakeholders.
