Brand ambassador Sotai Kri Takes Stock of Cleanliness In Lakhimpur, Dhemaji

LAKHIMPUR: Sotai Kri, the brand ambassador of Swachh Bharat Mission, North East States (NAMASTE) suddenly visited Lakhimpur and Dhemaji districts on Sunday. During the visit, he took stock of the cleanliness and hygiene in both the districts in addition to taking stock of the programmes implemented under Swachh Bharat Mission. As a part of the visit, he took part in a discussion event with Lakhimpur district Brand Ambassador Ranjit Kakati at the Circuit House and emphasized creating awareness about cleanliness among the common people by organizing massive awareness programmes.

“The dream of Swachh Bharat will not come true unless awareness about cleanliness can be brought to the masses,” Sotai Kri said in this regard. During the discussion, he took stock of the problems in initiating implementing cleanliness drives to ensure a hygienic environment. He insisted on constituting Public Swachhata Team in this regard. He suggested installing dustbins, establishing toilets in public places, cleaning of drains and natural streams by the administration as well as public initiatives.

Further, he stressed ensuring comprehensive cleanliness in the district with the joint endeavor of the district administration, common people and NGOs. He also took part in a meeting with the Dhemaji district Brand Ambassador Banjit Bhatta too in Dhemaji Circuit House.
