Brown sugar and illicit liquor seized by Dhubri Police

DHUBRI: Dhubri Police seized brown sugar, liquor and recovered stolen ATM cards in the last couple of days. Acting on a tip off, Dhubri Police intercepted a motor bike (AS-17-3450) at Amervita market and recovered brown sugar and Spsphen capsules. Police arrested Md Saiful Haque (32) of Chagalchara Pt- I village under Dhubri Police Station.

In another operation in a shop in ward no 4 of Bilasipara town, police seized 23 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor ( IMFL) and arrested Sushanta Barman (24), allegedly involved in this illegal trade.

Beside these, Joinal Abedin (38) of Shiberalaga village under Fakirganja village of the district, who was allegedly involved in stealing ATM cards for quite a long time, was arrested. Police recovered 14 ATM cards from his possession and cash amount of Rs.10,000 withdrawn from the various accounts.
