BSF, Guwahati Frontier seizes Yaba tablets, Phensedyl bottles & Ganja

GUWAHATI: In two separate operations, troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday seized 920 of Yaba tablets and 200 bottles of Phensedyl and 5 Kg Ganja from bordering area of village Kalabari, under South Salamara district and village Muslimpara from Coochbehar, West Bengal.

Acting on tip-off, the BSF troops of Border Out Post (BOP) Diara of 06 Batallion BSF carried out a special operation in general area of village Kalabari. At about 1:25 am, as suspicious movement was observed by the troops, on being challenged them, the miscreants fled away from the spot by taking advantage of darkness and throwing the consignment. The special operation party recovered 920 Yaba Tablets. Seized item has been handed over to Mankachar Police Station for further legal action.

According to a relese, in the second operation, the troops of Border Out Post (BOP) Amrit of 47 Bn BSF carried out a special operation in Muslimpara village. The special operation party recovered 200 bottles of Phensedyl and 5 Kg Ganja. However, the miscreants fled the spot by taking advantage of the darkness. The seized items have been handed over to Sitalkuchi Police Station.
