BTC CEM Pramod Boro distributes Land patta to 1,246 beneficiaries in Porbotjhora

KOKRAJHAR: To ensure ‘land to live’ to landless people, CEM of BTC Pramod Boro on Saturday distributed land titlement certificates to 1246 beneficiaries in a function held at Kazigaon in Porbotjhora subdivision.

Talking to mediapersons, Boro said that over 1300 families were given land titlement earlier in the same subdivision in May. He said that the Government of BTR was committed to ensure land to landless people of the region and within four and half years, over 39,000 families were given land titlement while over 2.5 lakhs land-related services were delivered, which had never happened during the time of previous government. He also said that the Government of BTR would solve the problems of small tea growers as well.

The land titlement distribution ceremony was attended by EM of Land Revenue and Forest Ranjit Basumatary, MP Joyanta Basumatary, MLA Lawrence Islary, Nominated Member Madhav Chandra Chetri, former Deputy Chief of BTC Kampa Borgoyari and other party leaders.

On the same day, the CEM of BTC Pramod Boro also attended the beneficiary meet and socio-economic awareness programme held at Habrubari under Dotma constituency. He said that he was happy to listen to first-hand experiences about the positive impact of the BTR government’s flagship and welfare schemes on the beneficiaries’ lives.
