BTC CEM Pramod Boro inaugurates District Library in Mushalpur

BAKSA: Chief Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Pramod Boro on Tuesday inaugurated the District Library in Mushalpur. After inauguration of the library in presence of Executive Members of BTC, Dr. Nilot Swargiary and Rakesh Brahma, Speaker of BTCLA, Katiram Boro, MLA of Barama constituency, Bhupen Boro, Principal Secretary of BTC, Shantanu P Gotmare, Deputy Commissioner of Baksa, Aayush Garg and other officials, Pramod Boro stressed the importance of gaining knowledge.

He advised the Executive Member of Library Services, BTC, to sanction Rs 1,000 to each library of BTC so that librarians of these libraries could provide tea to readers. This was done to encourage readers. He also announced that the library would be named after litterateur Ramdas Basumatary. He also distributed set of books amongst the various libraries of the district.

After the inauguration of the library, BTC CEM Pramod Boro also took part in a review meeting at the Deputy Commissioner's office conference hall. He took stock of the progress of the various projects running under the RURBAN scheme in the district.
