BTC CEM Pramod Boro Lays Foundation Stones for Multiple Projects

BTC CEM Pramod Boro laid the foundation stones for several development projects in Sonitpur, aligning with the BTR government's vision for holistic growth.

KOKRAJHAR: In line with the BTR government’s mission to foster holistic development in BTR, CEM Pramod Boro on Friday laid foundation stones for various developmental projects in newly-included areas of Sonitpur district. The foundation stones include a community hall, extension of classrooms, smart fencing, boundary, and sanitation facilities, etc. Boro laid the foundation stone for the construction of the martyr Sujit Narzary Memorial Auditorium Hall at Ansumwi in Sonitpur on Friday. The project will serve as a stage for cultural activities in the area, fostering community development and cultural enrichment.

He also laid the foundation stones for the construction of a community hall at No. 1 Santipur village, the construction of a sanitation facility with running water at Shilikhabari Bodo High School, the construction of classrooms and a smart fencing boundary at Urohiloga M.E. & High School, the construction of classrooms at Dwimalu High School, and the construction of a community hall at No. 1 Sijouguri village.

The CEM said once these projects are completed, the new facilities will enhance the learning experience of students of the schools, while the community halls will give facilities to the public to organize social functions and activities of cultural enrichment. He said the foundation stone-laying programmes were part of strengthening their commitment to peace, unity, and harmony among the people of diverse communities.

Boro also attended the open meeting of the Sonitpur district committee of the ABSU at Kampram Centre of Sijouguri. He said 60 Bodo villages of Biswanath and Sonitpur districts have been included, and a process for inclusion of more villages is going on. He said for communities’ development, the government of BTR has taken the initiative for development projects for roads, the development of religious centres of Bathou and Brahma, and the conversion of three wooden bridges into RCC. He assured that the road construction works will begin after the end of the budget session.

The foundation stone-laying programmes were accompanied by EM Dr. Nilut Swargiary, former Deputy Chief of BTC Kampa Borgoyary, general secretary of youth wing UPPL Dr. Sangrang Brahma, and others.
