KOKRAJHAR: The chief of BTC, Pramod Boro on Sunday called upon the students to concentrate on their studies and enlighten the society from darkness. He ceremonially distributed the Scooty to meritorious girl students in the function.

As many as 279 students of Kokrajhar district, 287students of Chirang district, 542 students of Baksa district and 423 students of Udalguri district will receive the Scooty. Addressing the gathering on the occasion of ceremonial distribution of Scooty to girl students who passed the HS final exam, 2020 securing more than 60 per cent, at Kokrajhar Science College, he said that students should concentrate on quality education. They should have strong determination to achieve their goals. He also said that one should have wisdom along with education.

Boro said, "We hate darkness and darkness will only disappear with light. In the same way, only education can lead the society from darkness to light." He said that one should have knowledge and wisdom along with degree. He also called upon the students to choose the right path with determination.

Referring to Charan Narzary of Ranipur, a remote forest village of Kokrajhar, who cracked the APSC examination this year from a venture Bodo medium school, Boro said that nothing was impossible if one had a clear aim along with determination.

The distribution function, which was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Kokrajhar, Bhaskar Phukan, was attended by the Principal of Kokrajhar Government College, Dr. Banabina Brahma, Dr. Subung Basumatary, Principal of Janata College, Dr SN Sinha of Kokrajhar Science College and other dignitaries.
