BTR chief Pramod Boro visits Balajan Community Health Centre

KOKRAJHAR: The Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTR Pramod Boro accompanied by EM of Health and Family Welfare, Arup Kr. Dey visited Balajan Community Health Centre (CHC) on Saturday to take stock of the present status of the health centre.

Sources said Boro supervised the present condition, doctor and staff position and infrastructures of the health centre. Balajan CHC covers vast areas including part of Chirang district of the then undivided Kokrajhar district. It is very important especially for poor rural people. A large part of Kokrajhar district especially northern part is lacking proper medical care centres and Balajan CHC is the only important centre for the patients of the vast areas. The Balajan CHC needs an infrastructural upgrade with enhanced staff strength to facilitate better health care for the people.
