Businessmen offer Rongali Bihu greetings to Darrang police personnel

MANGALDAI: In recognition of the exceptional service rendered by Darrang Police and Fire and Emergency Service in this crisis, two businessmen of repute offered Rongali Bihu greetings with a phulam Bihuwan as a mark of love and honour to all the ranks of Darrang Police in two separate programmes on Friday and Saturday.

Businessman Mantu Sarma, assisted by his wife Rima Sarma and mediaperson, Hemanta Kumar Barua offered phulam Bihuwan and a cup of tea with all traditional Assamese Bihu delicacies to as many as 200 'Men in Khaki' on duty in various locations of Mangaldai town. Another young businessman of repute, Hare Krishna Nath of Baruapara in Mangaldai town offered phulam Bihuwan to all ranks of Police and Fire and Emergency service as a token of love and honour.

Office bearers of Seuji Asom, namely president Hiren Kumar Saharia and secretary Kushal Deka also accompanied Hare Krishna Nath in offering Rongali Bihu greetings. Besides on duty home guards, constables and other officials, Hare Krishna Nath also offered Rongali Bihu greetings to Superintendent of Police Amrit Bhuyan, Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ) Ujjwal Pratim Barua, Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) Mamoni Hazarika and Officer in-charge of Mangaldai Police Station, Inspector Niranjan Barua.
