By-election to 74-Rangapara LAC on October 21: DC Narsing Pawar

TEZPUR: The by-elections to 74-Rangapara LAC will be held on October 21, said Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Narsing Pawar while addressing media persons at a press meet held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Monday.

The Sonitpur district administration has geared up for smooth conduct of the upcoming elections to the Legislative Assembly Constituency in a free and fair manner, he informed.

Deputy Commissioner Narsing Pawar also informed that CEO, Zilla Parishad, Diganta Baishya would be the Returning Officer and Dr. Surjya Kamal Bora, Circle Officer, Chariduar would act as the Assistant Returning Officer for the by-elections to be held on October 21. The Model Code of Conduct will be applicable in the entire district till the process of election is over.
