Bye-elections: 1,15,971 voters in Thowra constituency

DEMOW: The campaigning of the bye-election concluded on Wednesday at 5 pm. The Thowra constituency in Sivasagar district has the lowest number of voters. There are 1,15,971 voters in Thowra Constituency and among them 58,607 are males and 57,363 are females. In 145 polling stations the polling will be done. There will be 199 Presiding Officers.
1,15,971 voters will decide the fate of the five candidates in the bye-elections in Thowra constituency. There are four mouzas in Thowra constituency- Panidehing, Nitaipukhuri, Bokota and Thowra Mouza. Sushanta Borgohain, BJP-led alliance candidate, Manuranjan Konwar, INC candidate, Dhaijya Konwar, Independent candidate, Krishna Gogoi, CPI candidate and Luhit Gowala, Independent candidate will be contesting in the Thowra constituency.
