Cachar: Kidnapped baby's corpse found buried below bridge

Guwahati: In a shocking development reported from Assam's Cachar district, a 5-month-old baby's body was found buried beneath a bridge.

The 5-month-old baby, identified as Dhrubajyoti Nath, was abducted by miscreants from his home.

As per official reports, the kidnapper had demanded Rs 10 lakh ransom from the victim's family.

The family refused to pay the ransom and instead informed the police immediately.

While carrying out a search operation, the police found the baby's corpse buried beneath a bridge.

It has been reported that a woman along with four other accused have been detained in connection to the kidnapping.

The 5-month-old baby's body was recovered after the kidnapping team confessed to their crime and showed the police the spot where the baby was buried.
