Dibrugarh: The renovated NH-37, passing right through the town, seems to have developed a flip side to it. With the surface of the highway being made free of potholes, drivers and riders have been spotted zipping by at breakneck speed.
Already, a few minor mishaps have been reported from different areas of the town the highway passes through. In such conditions, there is a collective call for speed-breakers, at least in the densely populated areas.
Like reported earlier, the volume of traffic is fast increasing with more and more people gaining access to the town through the Bogibeel Bridge. So, taking such preventive measures are the need of the hour. As the saying goes, “A stitch in time saves nine.”
