Candidates of Assam Jatiya Parishad, Congress get rousing welcome in Dhekiajuli

DHEKIAJULI: Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) nominated candidate for Dhekiajuli LAC, Shatrughnna Sasoni was warm felicitated by the party workers at Dhekiajuli on Sunday.

Shatrughnna Sasoni was offered warm welcome at Sirajuli when he reached Sirajuli from Guwahati and brought him to Dhekiajuli with a huge public procession. The AJP supporters shouted slogans during the procession against BJP.

Talking to media persons on his arrival at Dhekiajuli, the AJP candidate said that this time people as a whole were expecting change of government in Assam. AJP Dhekiajuli unit convener Arif Hussain also addressed the media persons and urged upon the voters of Dhekiajuli constituency to vote for the AJP candidate.

On the other hand, Borsola Congress candidate Ram Prasad Sharma was also offered warm welcome by the party supporters at Orang after his name was announced as candidate for Borsola LAC. Hundreds of his supporters brought him to Bihaguri with a huge public procession and RP Sharma took blessings from the Bihaguri Naamghar Xatradhikar. In Dhekiajuli, the Congress (I) candidate Benudhar Nath was also felicitated by the party supporters and all sections of people.
