Car lifters arrested, stolen vehicles seized by Karbi Anglong police

BAKALIAGHAT: A team of Karbi Anglong police arrested four hardcore car lifters and seized four luxurious vehicles from their possession.

Acting on a tip-off , Dhansiri police recovered two stolen four-wheelers, including a Scorpio and a Maruti Baleno. On the basis of confession made by the arrested car lifters, a team of police led by Jitumoni Deka, officer in-charge of Manja PS, and Raju Chetry, officer in-charge of Dhansiri PS, launched an operation in Morigaon district.

With the help of Dharamtool PS, the team arrested two more car lifters when they were having dinner at dhaba near Dharamtool PS. One Creta and a Baleno were also seized from their possession. The car lifters were identified as Ngongo Sing (35), Roshan Singh alias Arjun (33), Rojikanta Singh (33) and Waikhom Tombi Singh. All hail from Manipur.
