Caste certificates distributed in Dhubri

DHUBRI: Caste certificates under Mission Bhumiputra were formally distributed by Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Dibakar Nath in his official conference hall here on Friday.

Altogether 46 students were given away the certificates in the programme while rest of the certificates will be given by the educational institutions where they are studying. In Dhubri district, a total of 1602 students of Classes IX to XII applied for the caste certificate and distribution of the same started from Friday. Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Dibakar Nath, while addressing the students and officials, said that from next year, caste certificates under Mission Bhumiputra will be issued from Class VIII.
