Cattle smuggler apprehended by Border Security Force of Guwahati Frontier

GUWAHATI: Troops of Border Security Force of Guwahati Frontier apprehended one Indian cattle smuggler along with cattle on Wednesday, from bordering area of Kaimari, of Coochbehar district of West Bengal. Acting on a tip off, on Wednesday, BSF troops apprehended the cattle smuggler from Kaimari Border Outpost, while he was trying to smuggle the cattle from India to Bangladesh. Apprehended cattle smuggler has been identified as Najmal Mia (28yrs), Son of Jabbar Mia, Resident of East Chamta under Sitai Police Station of Coochbehar district in West Bengal. He has been handed over to police for further legal action.

Besides, BSF troops of Guwahati Frontier seized 39 cattle heads having approximate value of Rs 3,35,511 on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, stated a press release.
