GUWAHATI: A video of celebration by Mizoram police personnel and goons after the killing of Assam Police personnel has been shared by the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Further, the CM Sarma quoted it to be "sad and horrific".

The Assam chief minister made the comment on his Twitter handle on Monday night while sharing a video where a celebration by Mizoram police and some civilians are seen celebrating after the killing at the clash site along the Assam-Mizoram border.

"After killing 5 Assam police personnel and injuring many , this is how Mizoram police and goons are celebrating.- sad and horrific," chief minister Sarma tweeted.

In another tweet, the Assam Chief Minister shared a video and wrote, "Look at this video to know how personnel of Mizoram Police acted and escalated the issue."

Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a meeting with the district administration of the Cacher district to discuss the situation along the Assam-Mizoram border after the neighboring state police fired upon the personnel of the Assam police yesterday.

The meeting held at the Cacher Deputy Commissioner office was also attended by Assam Director General of police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta and Special DGP GP Singh.

However, the minutes of the discussion are yet to come out. Chief Minister Sarma also visited Silchar Medical College and Hospital, where the injured Assam police personnel are undergoing treatment including Cacher SP Vaibhav Nimbalkar.

During the visit, he took stoke of the injured police personnel's health. Meanwhile, SP Nimbalkar has been recovering from the injury. Talking to media, he thanked all who wished for his recovery including CM Sarma and DGP Mahanta.
