Chamber of Commerce, Lakhimpur ensures supply of essential commodities

LAKHIMPUR: Chamber of Commerce, Lakhimpur has declared its decision to ensure supply of essential commodities and medicines during these days of combat against the spread of coronavirus. It has also taken a strong stand against any kind of unreasonable price hike of essential commodities which might take place in such a situation.

In this regard, the Lakhimpur Chamber of Commerce president R. Taporia and honorary general secretary NK Rathi stated through a press release that the members of the Chamber of Commerce who were dealing in essential commodities like grocery and baby food and medicines, were advised to ensure that people do not face any problem in the upcoming days.

The press release stated, “Pandemic known as COVID-19(Corona virus) is spreading alarmingly in many countries of the world. Speed in our country, so far, is slow as it is in its 2nd stage. It may reach 3rd stage any moment if we remain negligent and do not take effective steps to contain it. We must strictly follow the directions and guidelines issued from time to time by the Central and State governments and by the district administration. We must refrain from doing anything which may create fear and tension in the minds of people. We must ensure that supply of essential commodities and medicines is not disrupted and prices do not rise unreasonably. Our members dealing in essential commodities like grocery and baby food and medicines are advised to see that people do not face any problem.”
