Chandan Brahma laid foundation stone of Soil Testing Quality Control Lab at Kajalgaon

Kokrajhar: The Minister of WPT&BC and Tourism, Chandan Brahma laid the foundation stone of Soil Testing Quality Control and Input Testing Laboratory of BTC Agriculture department in presence of EM of Agriculture, BTC, Ansumwi Khunggur Boro at Kajalgaon in Chirang district.

Talking to this reporter, BTC EM of Agriculture, Ansumwi Khunggur Boro said the new office building would be built at a cost of Rs. 1.51 crore from RIDF fund. He said that three power tillers were also distributed from the Horticulture department of BTC to successful farmers. He said the power tillers were distributed at Rs. 75,000 subsidy from the Department of Agriculture.

Boro said another 300 power tillers would be distributed under NFSM and RKVY schemes to encourage the farmers. To boost the products of the farmers through modern and scientific methods, the department has taken up many innovative schemes for farmers, he said, adding that the department will take pro-farmer schemes for their development.
