Chandan Phukan submits application for Congress ticket in Thowra constituency

DEMOW: With the bye-election round the corner in Thowra constituency, political parties are gearing up for the polls. According to sources, Chandan Phukan, an advocate as well as Congress leader of Thowra constituency, has submitted his application to the president of Sivasagar District Congress Committee and president of Demow Block Congress for the ticket from the Indian National Congress party for the upcoming bye-election in Thowra Constituency. According to sources, there are three other ticket aspirants in the party for the Thowra constituency - Ajay Kumar Gogoi, Manuranjan Konwar and Niva Konwar.
