The chief secretary took stock of the progress on the Prime Minister flagship schemes and the priority schemes of the Chief Minister being implemented in Biswanath from the heads of departments.

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Chief Secretary Pawan Kumar Borthakur held a review meeting with the heads of all departments at Biswanath Chariali on Tuesday. The chief secretary took stock of the progress on the Prime Minister flagship schemes and the priority schemes of the Chief Minister being implemented in Biswanath from the heads of departments. In the review meeting held at the conference room of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Biswanath, the Chief Secretary reviewed the implementation of various schemes like PMEGP, PMFME, RIDF (NABARD) etc being implemented by the concerned departments in Biswanath and Gohpur sub-divisions.

Additional District Commissioner and Sub-Divisional Magistrate in-charge of Biswanath Subdivision Dr Neha Yadav, Chief Executive Officer of Biswanath Zilla Parishad Diganta Kumar Baishya, Additional District Commissioners Manas Kumar Saikia and Dhruba Jyoti Das, Additional District Commissioners and In-charge Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Gohpur Sub-Division Lukumani Borah, Assistant Commissioners and heads of all departments were present in the meeting.

The Chief Secretary also suggested that the departments having inter-relations should focus on the implementation of the scheme in a joint manner. The special review meeting, which lasted for about two hours, directed that the focus should be on proper implementation of the schemes within a stipulated time. Earlier, the Chief Secretary also visited the Satsang Model Anganwadi centre in Biswanath in the morning ahead of the review meeting.
