Dibrugarh, June 8: In keeping with the District Administration’s campaign to weed out Child labour from the district, the Dibrugarh District Task Force (DDTF) has rescued two child labourers recently from two different places here. The latest such instance occurred on June 5 when the team rescued a 7-year old girl working as a domestic help at the residence of Uttam Saha, an advocate who hails from J Lane, Milan Nagar. Before that, DDTF rescued a 14-year old girl in Naliapool from the house of the Sub-Inspector of Lahoal Police Station, Deepak Gogoi. As per sources, a case has been filed against Saha at Milan Nagar Police Station. Moreover, both have been issued show-cause notices by the Labour Inspector.
