Child run over by vehicle on Dr Bhupen Hazarika Setu, Tinisukia

TINSUKIA, July 23: Several hundred tea garden workers of Dholla Tea Estate blocked the Dr Bhupen Hazarika Setu (Dholla-Sadiya Bridge) after a 9-year boy, identified as Kishan alias Chanu Tassa, was run over by a speeding vehicle on Sunday evening. The vehicle fled from the spot. The critically injured boy, though shifted to Dangori PHC, succumbed to his injuries before reaching hospital.
