Children’s Day celebrated in Demow Multipurpose Building

DEMOW: Under the patronage of Sonapur Social Development Society, an NGO, Children’s Day was celebrated in Demow Multipurpose Building on Thursday.

The Sonapur Social Development Society felicitated the cleanliness workers of Demow Town Committee and talked with them. After that, they felicitated the cobblers of Demow town and the Traffic Police of Demow Police Station. On the occasion of Children’s Day, various competitions were organized in Demow Multi-Purpose Building which was inaugurated by Jadumoni Borah, senior media person of Demow on Thursday. A debate competition was held among different schools of Sivasagar district on the topic ‘The midday meal provided by the State Government in government schools has benefitted’. On the other hand, drawing and song competitions were also held among the students. The winners of the competitions were given prizes.
