Children's summer camp concludes at Missamari Military Station in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: A four-day long children's summer camp concluded at Missamari Military Station for children of service personnel of Missamari Military Station in Sonitpur district. The camp was organized by Blazing Sword Division. It witnessed enthusiastic participation around 134 children belonging to the age group of 6 years to 16 years.

The summer camp was inaugurated by Maj Gen Charanjeev Manju, SM, VSM, GOC 71 Infantry Division. The event was conducted with an aim to provide a wholesome experience to young boys and girls, facilitating their overall personality development through multifaceted educational, recreational and other activities. To achieve the same, a plethora of activities were conducted. Children were also exposed to latest defence equipment through an equipment display and a visit to the Aviation Base. Children completely enjoyed all the activities, relished delicious meals throughout the summer camp and also won lots of gifts and prizes.
