Chirang DC prohibits congregation of more than three persons

KOKRAJHAR/BONGAIGAON: Congregation of more than three persons in all places of worship as well as all religious and political gatherings has been prohibited in Chirang district.

Chirang Deputy Commissioner and chairman, District Disaster Management Authority, Gautam Talukdar on July 27issued the order under Assam COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 for implementing it with immediate effect in order to maintain social distancing to check the spread of coronavirus in the district. The order stated that violation of this order would attract action under the provision of the Assam COVID-19 Regulations, 2020, the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 and other relevant laws as applicable. The order comes into force with immediate effect and will remain in force until further order.
