Chirang district functionaries visit Churches to mobilise public for COVID vaccination

KOKRAJHAR/UDALGURI: As a part of the various measures undertaken by the Chirang district administration for completion of COVID-19 vaccination within the next 10 days in the district, top functionaries of the district visited the churches on Sunday Mentionably, there is still maximum vaccine hesitancy to mobilise the people for covid vaccination.

During their visit to the churches, they interacted with the faithful and motivated them to get vaccinated soon to save themselves as well as to keep society free from the coronavirus.

They also requested the church leaders to make a strong appeal to the people of their community for vaccination. They also urged them to be present in their nearest covid vaccination centres and mobile vaccination teams during vaccination to boost the confidence of the local people. They further urged them to convey the message that they have already extended their support to the ongoing covid vaccination drive in the district.

During the day, the dignitaries who visited the North Thaikajhora Baptist Church was was visited by Chirang Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar Shah; No.1 Samo Dwisa Baptist Church by the Superintendent of Police Pranjit Borah; Bhurpar NELC Baptist Church by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Khanindra Das; No.1 Odalguri Baptist Church and also the No.2 Odalguri Catholic Church by the Additional Superintendent of Police Prakash Medhi, No.1 Salbari Baptist Church by Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar) Wahidul Islam; Shantipur Baptist Church by Pratishaa Dutta and Lauripara and Mozabari (Santali) by Circle Officer of Sidli Revenue Circle Amit Ranjan Barman.
