Chirang district police recovered large cache of ammunition

BONGAIGAON: Following information, Chirang district police recovered a large cache of ammunition on Wednesday. Total 791 live ammunitions were recovered from the deep forest of Runikhata under a trench. Sudhakar Sing, Chirang Superintendent of Police, said that it was not yet confirmed which militant group might have kept the ammunition there.

"The first suspicion goes to the NDFB but it has not been confirmed. We are investigating," he said. A CRPF team also accompanied the police in this operation.
